Stuart is an Executive Vice President and Partner at Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors in Salt Lake City and is an expert in retail brokerage. With over 30 years of dedication to serving the needs of his clients, Stuart has closed over 1,000 transactions valuing over $1.5 billion. Stuart has created long-standing relationships with his clients and takes the time to understand their needs, set goals, and exceed their expectations upon delivery. Providing accurate, reliable market information, expert negotiation skills, and diligence have continually led local, regional, and national retailers to rely on Stuart’s expertise.

From Costco and Ross to Victoria’s Secret and Bath Body works, Stuart represents a wide array of clients in the Intermountain Region. Additionally, landlords continuously entrust Stuart to market more than 6.9 million square feet of new and existing retail developments in the Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana markets. The trust inspired by his dedication to his client’s interests has led to many ongoing relationships where tenants and landlords alike repeatedly turn to Stuart to problem solve, reach goals, and deliver incredible results.  

Stuart has been recognized with various honors including recipient of Coldwell Banker Commercial’s #1 Retail Agent of the Year award in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016 as well as being awarded the CCIM Retail Broker of the Year for 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012 and runner up in 2011 and 2015. Continually ranked in the top 2% of the highest performing agents for Coldwell Banker Commercial, Stuart has also been one of the top three retail brokers globally for Coldwell Banker Commercial for the past two years.  

Stuart is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys all things hunting and fishing. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Safari Club International. Stuart lives in Sandy, Utah with his wife Carol and they have 9 (soon to be 10) grandchildren who they love to spend time with.

Cameron Simonsen

Executive Vice President

Cameron Simonsen began his career in commercial real estate in 2002 when he was hired by Prime Commercial to focus on their retail database. In this position, he learned a great deal about the commercial real estate market throughout the Intermountain West. Simonsen obtained his real estate license in 2003 and was hired by Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors in 2005.

A large portion of Simonsen’s business is focused on retail tenant representation. National name retailers and restaurants such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Dave & Buster’s, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra Trading Post, Harmons Neighborhood Grocer, Paradise Bakery Café/Panera Bread, The Habit Burger Grill, Blaze Pizza, Shoe Dept., Dressbarn, Pei Wei, etc. have relied on Cameron to represent them with their site selection in multiple states.

Simonsen also represents developers and investors in leasing many of the top shopping centers throughout the Intermountain West. He has been instrumental in leasing properties owned by prominent landlords such as The Boyer Company, PEG Development, Ball Ventures, Wadsworth Development Group, Howland Partners, City Creek Reserve, Inc., Liljenquist Properties, Blue Diamond Capital, etc.

Since Simonsen started working in the commercial real estate industry, his primary focus has been retail sales and leasing transactions. To date, Cameron has completed transactions in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nevada and Alaska. His knowledge of markets throughout the west has proven to be invaluable for his clients.

Simonsen was one of three finalists for the CCIM Retail Broker of the Year in both 2015 and 2017. In addition, Utah Business Magazine named Simonsen to their “40 Under 40” list for the State of Utah in 2017.

Elizabeth Leader

Retail Specialist

Elizabeth Leader began her career with Coldwell Banker Commercial’s in 2008. Her experience working closely with tenants, landlords, and professionals within the industry has led to an understanding of all aspects of the transaction process and the importance of her client’s real estate needs.

Elizabeth brings her knowledge of the Intermountain West market as well as a strong work ethic and dedication to accomplishing her client’s goals. Her skills in compiling site information, demographic profiles, market studies and trade area analysis gives clients a better overview of the market and crucial information in thFFe site selection process. Along with completing site locations for retail tenants, Elizabeth is also instrumental in leasing for developers and landlords of our current projects.  This knowledge, combined with her commitment and work ethic ensure that her team’s clients will obtain their real estate objectives.

Elizabeth assists the Thain Team in representing Landlords and major tenants such as Costco and JC Penny to mid-size boxtenants such as Ross, DSW, and The Container Store with comprehensive marketing and leasing programs for projects ranging from national retail anchored centers, mixed-use developments, to redevelopment. Landlords have currently entrusted The Thain team to market more than 6.9 million square feet of new and existing retail developments in the Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana Markets.

A native of North Carolina, Elizabeth now calls Utah home and has embraced the mountain lifestyle. She loves hiking, skiing, yoga and tennis. She is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is the state chair for the ICSC Next Generation program.

Brittany Ferris

Retail Specialist

Brittany Ferris began her commercial real estate career when she obtained her real estate license in 2016 and joined Cameron Simonsen and the Thain-Cameron Retail Group atCBC Advisors. Previously, Brittany served as the receptionist and front desk coordinator at CBC Advisors. Brittany takes great care in meeting the needs of her clients and exceeding their expectations. Exceptional organization and management skills make Brittany a contributing asset to her team. She coordinates with the internal mapping, data, and graphics department to provide clients with the most accurate promotional materials and information. Since partnering with Cameron, Brittany has represented tenants including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra Trading Post, Gordmans, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dave & Busters, Shoe Dept., Nekter Juice Bar, The Habit Burger Grill, Paradise Bakery/Panera, Blaze Pizza, and Dress Barn. She works with Cameron in leasing many of the top shopping centers throughout the Intermountain West with prominent Landlords such as City Creek Reserve, Wadsworth Development Group, Ball Ventures, Liljenquist Properties, The Boyer Company,Blue Diamond Capital, Howland Partners, TerraForm Companies, PEG Development,The Woodmont Company, and Terramerica Corporation.

McCall Longson

Transaction Coordinator

McCall Longson joined the Thain-Cameron Retail Group in May 2017 and serves as the transaction coordinator and executive assistant to Stuart Thain and Elizabeth Leader. Some of her tasks include coordinating and working with the graphics and mapping departments to get flyers and packages out to clients, sending out listings to the market, working with and searching for new tenants, assisting with financial analysis for clients, helping to track deals, and working to keep the team organized. McCall is a responsible, hard worker and is passionate about what she does, especially when it involves numbers. She is finishing up her undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University ofUtah and plans to pursue a Masters in Real Estate Development degree afterwards. Prior to joining the TC Retail, McCall has been involved with theEccles School Business Scholars and Masters of Real Estate Development programs, working as an ambassador for the school, allowing her to meet with top executives around the world, develop relationships with foreign universities, network, and learn more about international business. McCall is a Utah native and loves to spend her free time in the mountains, she has served as President of the Utah Freeskier Society for the past year, and has a passion for traveling to and exploring new places.

Erin Splan

Website & Marketing Specialist

Erin manages the website and helps create the marketing materials for TC Retail Group. Erin’s position includes preparing and updating data for marketing packages for both tenants and listed properties, which includes creating property flyers, and site plans. Erin designs mailers, brochures, and prepares a variety of documents to further expand the resources available for our clients. She also keeps our website up to date with our most current information.

Erin coordinates with our internal mapping, data, and graphics department to provide our clients the most accurate promotional materials and information.

Jenny Weese

Social Media Specialist

Jenny has been in marketing for 5+ years and has a degree in Public Relations. Jenny’s position for TCR Group is spearheading marketing throughout all social media outlets including; Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. She coordinates with the retail specialists on all upcoming deals and sends out updates from the TCR Group. Jenny makes sure that our social media followers are always up to date with the latest news from our team. She gives excitement to our followers from the Commercial Real Estate world.
